Craniosacral Unwinding Therapy
Craniosacral therapy was pioneered and developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger following extensive scientific studies from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University, where he served as a clinical researcher and Professor of Biomechanics (Upledger Institute).
According to the Life Energy Institute, “craniosacral therapy is process work which speaks the language of cellular reality. This modality focuses on garnering the healing energy within the body, which jump-starts the person’s own healing ability and process. The craniosacral rhythms are at the core of the body’s pulse; learning to palpate and balance them is like discovering the ebb and flow of the ocean.”
The craniosacral system (see below) is the core of one’s being and is the primary source of communicating what is happening inside the body. This system has its own rhythm, and is comprised of the meninges, or membranes, and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. As a craniosacral practitioner, I listen to your system’s rhythm and help guide it towards its natural state of balance and health.
This service can be provided with the client undressed or fully clothed.
