What is bodywork?
Integrative Bodywork is a healing modality that takes traditional full-body massage and combines it with a deep understanding of ourselves as beings of energy. The human body is an incredible system that can self heal among many other amazing processes. When gone unaddressed, however, traumas and stresses that we all inevitably experience in life can get trapped in the fascia (connective muscle tissue) that runs throughout the entire body. Bodywork can be done in a way that actually listens to one’s fascia in order to enter and move those blocked energies that have created tension, pain, or discomfort.
Receiving bodywork gives you a chance to be vulnerable with yourself and release what no longer serves you. It is also incredibly relaxing and restorative and has a wide variety of overall health benefits. While bodywork traditionally involves touch, I also offer sessions that are energy-based and can be done with the client fully clothed.
Who am I?
My name is LJ (she/her) and I am honored to work with you as you participate in your own healing journey. I have always felt a natural gift for giving massage, but this intuitive understanding eventually turned into a true passion and desire for learning. I received my training and my massage therapy certification in the state of California through Life Energy Institute and the School for Integrative Psycho-Structural Bodywork.
My goal as a facilitator in this space is to provide the opportunity and the support/guidance necessary for you to unlock your own healing abilities. Together we will take conscious participation in our individual and collective evolution. Whether you are looking simply for relaxation, or to work through a deeper issue that has manifested itself physically, your session will always be holistically tailored to you.
Outside of bodywork, I am a musician and garden educator, and I also enjoy cooking, reading, and camping.
I thank you for your courage in pursuing a journey of healing and growth, and I greatly look forward to co-creating our journey together.
